2015 GENERAL ELECTION LONG TERM OBSERVER (Sept - October 2015)
I was one among the 2015 general election observation team, deployed at Newala rural constituency in Mtwara region.
Responsibilities/ Duties;
i. Observing whether there is free and fair election
ii. To cross – check the conducive atmosphere for voters to exercise their rights to vote voluntarily
iii. To see that the election is conducted and candidates behave in a manner that is free from corruption.
iv. Observing transparency in all election processes from voters registration book, during the day of election and announcing of results
v. There is equal participation of marginalized between women and men.
vi. The election administrators i.e. Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officers in district and ward levels are effective, impartial, independent and accountable.
vii. There is smooth and clear intra-party nomination process and peaceful elections campaigns.

Some of daily duties and responsibilities were;
• Undertaking market research in order to determine relevant products/services to clients and making a research on potential areas for location of banking business.
• Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual implementation reports for the department.
• Informing the management any trends in the market that seem to affect the bank’s business.
• Devising new products and reviewing the existing products in terms of capability to induce business to the bank while providing special priority in Deposit Mobilization.
• Making research on companies, civil societies, organization and individuals with a view of capturing them to do business with the bank.
• Undertaking market intelligence of the banks in order to draw the attention of the management to these developments which are likely to affect bank’s business
• Maintaining the bank’s library
• Performing any other duties, as may be assigned by higher authority from time to time.

This is an International NGO and now is known as Restless Development. It is an NGO that deals with School health education to children from standard five to seven in rural primary schools and from form one to four in urban schools. I volunteered as Senior Volunteer from May to November 2004, being a peer educator in educating school children about HIV/AIDS, Sexual Transmitted Diseases, and empowering youths in a community to have right decisions in life and enabling them to utilize available natural resources for the betterment of their lives in future.
