MACHAME ROUTE 7 DAY begins and ends at Safari Lodge in Arusha.
Arrive anytime at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), there will be a private transfer waiting at the airport to pick you to Arusha Safari Lodge.
All airport transfers are the part of the package, no extra fee is required.
DAY1: ARRIVE IN TANZANIA:
We stay at Arusha Safari Lodge, which is a beautiful Hotel located on the lower slopes of Mount Meru and is a perfect place to prepare you for adventure.
We will gather in the evening at 5:30 pm for a pre-climb briefing and an equipment check.
We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.
DAY 2: MACHAME GATE TO MACHAME HUT (FULL BOARD)
Machame Gate to Machame Hut (3,000 m): 6-7 hours walking.
DAY 3: MACHAME CAMP TO SHIRA CAMP (FULL BOARD)
Machame Hut to Shira Camp (3,840m): 4-6 hours walking.
DAY 4: SHIRA CAMP TO BARRANCO VALLEY (FULL BOARD)
Shira Camp to Barranco valley (3,900 m.): 5-7 hours walking.
DAY 5: BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP (FULL BOARD)
Barranco Camp to Karanga camp (4,000 m): 4-5 hours walking.
DAY 6: KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP (FULL BOARD)
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,600 m.): 3-4 hours walking.
DAY 7: BARAFU CAMP TO SUMMIT TO MWEKA CAMP (FULL BOARD)
Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp (3100 m): 13-15 hours walking.
DAY 8: DESCENT – MWEKA CAMP TO MWEKA GATE TO ARUSHA (FULL BOARD)
A gentle walk takes us down through the rainforest to Mweka gate successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. After lunch, we drive back to Arusha Safari Lodge.
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate: 3-5 hours walking.
DAY 9: DEPARTING DAY:
After saying bye to our team in operation then you need a private departure transfer which is included from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight unless you have an option to have Safari or any other option we will discuss.
