SERENGETI GREAT MIGRATION 8 DAYS

About the product
This trip offers incomparable game viewing with a chance to witness the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration crossing the Mara River, a visit to Tarangire National Park famous for its baobab trees, and game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater, with evening relaxation at excellent quality authentic tented camps in the African bush. The best time to do this tour is February, March, August and September
August is your best month to see the dramatic Mara River crossings in the Serengeti or Maasai Mara. August is a hot and humid month as the dry season kicks into overdrive. The wildebeest herds will continue their search for lush, greener grass and by doing so, attempt to cross the dangerous, and crocodile infested water of the Mara River.
September is similar to August. This month offers more hot and dry weather, as the dry season continues in the Serengeti and Maasai Mara. Most of the wildebeest have crossed the Mara River, and the majority of the herds will be in the Greater Maasai Mara area, eating the lush green grass resources before venturing north towards the private conservancies (Mara North, Olare Orok). September is an easy month to predict where the herds will be. You can still stay in the Serengeti early in the month, but it’s safer to stay on the Masai Mara side to view the last of the Mara River crossings.
