About the product
Though the route is popular for the multi-day climb, a day climb is also reasonable climbing through the rainforest to the First campsite “Machame Camp” of 3,000 Meters high, which is the first overnight camp for the multi-day climbers, then trek down via the same Machame route.
ITINERARY
The day will start in the Morning by taking a drive from Moshi town to Machame gate which is a distance of 35 Kilometers which will be a drive of 25mins to one hour up to Machame gate. On your arrival at the gate, you will follow up the park regulations and formalities of permit payment check. There after you will start your hike up to Machame Camp. The hike will be of 4 to 5 hours hiking through the forest from the Machame gate of 1800 meters to Machame camp of 3000 meters a distance of 11 kilometers which make 22 kilometers as a round trip. On you hike you will be packed with the lunch box that you will eat at the Machame camp before your trek down up to the gate.
ATTRACTIONS
Your hike will be through the Montane forest which is the main attraction and you can enjoy it just few minutes after crossing the main gate. It is a dense forest with different species of both plant and animals though animals are not much and rare seen. The plant species includes the famous Impatient Kilimanjaro, an endemic flower found only at Mount Kilimanjaro. On the other hand, expect to see animals like the black and white colobus Monkeys and the Blue Monkeys
