Day 1 Kampala
We will meet you at your hotel for introductions and a day spent sightseeing on a guided tour of Uganda’s beautiful capital city, surrounded by eleven hills. Hotel accommodation to suit your budget; Lunch included.

Day 2 Kampala-Kibale National Park
We head to Kibale National Park, home to a variety of primates and begin with a guided nature walk and/or a short tour of the local community. Accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 3 Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
Chimpanzee tracking - have an unforgettable experience visiting these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. You will hike into the forest with a specialist ranger-guide and may also be lucky enough to see other primates. Afternoon bird-watching at Bigodi Swamp. Accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 4 Kibale National Park-Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is a striking park located on the Rift Valley floor between Lakes Edward and George. You can expect to see a range of wildlife including elephants, buffalos, and if lucky, hyenas, lions, leopards and the giant forest hog. Accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 5 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning game drive and then visit to the Katwe Explosion Craters. We’ll see Lake Kitagata and the alluring and enormous Kyemengo Crater. Cruise along the Kazinga Channel spotting hippos, waterbucks, crocodiles and a variety of water birds and birds of prey as we go. Accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 6 Queen Elizabeth National Park-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today we head to world heritage area Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, listed for its outstanding universal value. In addition to the gorillas for which Bwindi is famous, there is a chance of seeing rare tree climbing lions, found in the tall fig and acacia trees. Day 7 Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-Lake Bunyonyi
Today we get to track the captivating mountain gorillas, of which less than 800 remain in the wild (all in East Africa). We must report to Park Headquarters early for a briefing by rangers. You will then enter the forest in a small group in search of the gorillas. This is an amazing experience, and one you will never forget. The park authorities have restrictions in place to ensure that the gorillas are not harmed by tourism. After the trek, we travel to Lake Bunyonyi, with its beautiful surrounding terraced hillsides. Day 8 Lake Bunyonyi-Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy a morning boat ride on picturesque bird haven Lake Bunyonyi. After lunch we travel to Rwanda through the foothills of Mount Muhavura, an extinct volcano. Accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 9 Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
We have an early start today – we must meet the rangers at Park Headquarters at 7:00am for a briefing, before beginning the guided trek into the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. You can nominate how far you want to trek and a gorilla family will be allocated accordingly. This is an amazing experience, and one you will never forget. The park authorities have restrictions in place to ensure that the gorillas are not harmed by tourism. Hotel accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 10 Volcanoes National Park-Nyungwe National Park
We leave Ruhengeri and head to Nyungwe via Lake Kivu, a beautiful and scenic location. We stop at the picturesque town of Kibuye for a picnic lunch. Hotel accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 11 Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe National Park
We have a very early start today, but you won’t regret it. We head into the forest before dawn to begin our search for the chimpanzees. The park hosts 13 species of primate in total. You can rest this afternoon and catch up on some sleep before dinner! Hotel accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 12 Nyungwe National Park-Kigali
After breakfast we will drive back to Kigali stopping along the way to visit the Murambi Genocide Memorial Centre. We will have lunch in Butare, the cultural capital of Rwanda, and there will be a little time for exploring. We will also visit the Royal Palace in Nyanza for an intriguing look into Rwanda’s past. Hotel accommodation to suit your budget; B, L & D included.

Day 13 Kigali
This morning we will take you on a guided tour of the city, including a visit to the craft markets and the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum. There will be time for reflection before we transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. Breakfast included.
