About the product
Choose any one of the routes for your mountain climbing expedition:-
1) Marangu Route -To the south east.
The route is a gradual ascent on well maintained tracks. It is the most popular route and the hiking towards the summit is a steep zigzag cree path up to Gilman’s Point.
2) Machame Route -To the south.
The route is more scenic with the highest summit success rate because of the up and down nature of the climb – trek and sleeping low is good for acclimatization. There is a challenging almost sheer wall to climb – Barranco wall. However, it is easier than it looks.
3) Umbwe Route -To the south.
The route is very spectacular and little used. It has steep gorges, glaciers and panoramic views. The trail gains altitude quickly and involves some tough scrambling. Climbers need a good level of fitness and must be prepared for a steep ascent, which may increase a problem of altitude sickness.
4) Rongai Route -To the north.
Easy and gradual trekking for the beginning of the ascent but climbing hours are longer. The route joins Marangu route at Kibo Hut for the summit ascent and descend.
5) Lemosho Route -To the west.
The route starts with a rough drive through western Kilimanjaro at Lemosho gate. Remote and spectacular with dramatic gorges and views of West Kilimanjaro. The route join Machame route at New Shira Camp on the way to Barranco Campsite.
6) Shira Route - To the west.
The route starts with a rough drive through western Kilimanjaro to Londrossi / Shira gate. Remote and spectacular with dramatic gorges and views of West Kilimanjaro. The route join Machame route at New Shira Camp on the way to Barranco Campsite.
