Reviews of AFRICA SMART SAFARIS LTD - Arusha

Our tour operator, Africa Smart Safaris Limited of Arusha, and personally its managing director Mr. Soter C. Mutambalike has cheated and stolen our money. And we write to you with hope to get assistance and to warn possible future tourists to avoid this company.

We signed a contract with Africa Smart Safaris for climbing to Kilimanjaro and three days safari after that.
The climbing went well and there were no problem with it. The problems started afterwards on January 09. For the first night accommodation Africa Smart Safaris reserved only two rooms instead of five, and for the next two nights reserved nothing at all. We had to pay everything for the second time including the entrance fees to Ngorongoro park, which our driver refused to pay. Mr. Soter did not react to our phone calls and text messages. We informed about the situation officer of TANAPA in Serengeti, but he couldnt do anything.

Finally Mr. Soter sent us a message promising to return our money but it looked like just an attempt to delay. By that time we have already read a post in Tripadvisor by US tourists with similar situation, and understood that this is the way Mr.Soter makes money on tourists.

Finally, Africa Smart Safaris should return us approx. $8000 (!!!), which were paid to them for our safari trip.

Never, NEVER have deal with these thieves...
