INFRASTRUCTURE

Our Office is allocated in Dar es Salaam City Centre along Samora Avenue, mainly for Customs clearance and forwarding and goods handling.
Both establishments are managed professionally by trained and dedicated staff.
The well experienced and professionally qualified work-force takes complete care of each organizational activity here.

TRANSIT BOND FACILITY
Transit goods bond security worth Tshs 2bilion is provided to secure transit shipments cleared from Dar`port in transit to neighbouring countries.
The bond includes the goods in transit cover the risk during transit from point of entry up to exit border in Tanzania.

LOCATION OF BORDER OFFICES
On every corridor we have one staff to coordinate movement of our import and export shipments through each border.

• North Corridor – Rusumo, Kabanga & Mutukula borders (Rwanda, Burundi, Eastern Congo DRC and Uganda shipments)

• Central Corridor – Rail and Road transport to and from Kigoma port


• Southern Corridor - Tunduma & Kasumulu borders (Zambia, Malawi, Lubumbashi DRC shipments)
• Eastern Corridor – Namanga Arusha & Horohoro Tanga borders (Kenya/Tanzania borders)

1. CUSTOMS CLEARING AND FORWARDING
As customs clearing and forwarding agents we offer wide variety of services including receiving the cargo upon arrival at the port Dar port or Inland borders,

1.1 IMPORT SHIPMENTS

Local Imports – are all shipments destined to Tanzania final destination

Transit Imports – are all shipments arriving in Tanzania in transit to other countries

Our main activities in clearance of Local and Transit Import shipments:
• Receive Cargo ex vessel in Dar port or ex Inland borders by road
• Customs documenations and Port Clearance
• Delivery of the shipments to final destinations as per given instructions
• Return of Empty Container to shipping line depot

Documents required for Import shipments include:
• Original Bill of lading/Sea way bill/Telex release msg + copy of b/l
• Commercial Invoice
• Packing list
• A Letter of appointment from consignee
• Any other docs available to facilitate clearance

All above documents should be provided to us prior arrival of the vessel in Dar port as follows;
LOCAL Import shipments - 14days prior arrival of the vessel
TRANSIT Import shipments - 7days prior arrival of the vessel

Transit time - : Customs documentation in Dar port + inland transport
Rwanda and Burundi = 15days
Zambia and Malawi = 15 days
Congo DRC (south) = 18 days
Congo DRC (north) = 15 days

1.2 EXPORT SHIPMENTS

Our main activities in clearance of Export shipments:
• Receive Cargo in Liner out up to FOB basis
• Customs documenations and Port Clearance
• Shipping Line bookings, shipping order and bill of lading processing

Documents required for Export shipments include:
• Export license or permit
• Sale contract
• Commercial invoice
• Packing list
• Shipping instructions
• A Letter of appointment from consignee
• Any other docs available to facilitate clearance

The following are main customs border posts:
Tunduma, Kasumulu, Rusumo, Kabanga, Mutukula, Horohoro, Holili and Kigoma
